Hi, I'm Reet - a Commonwealth-registered marriage celebrant based in Ballarat,Victoria. I created Riwaaz Ceremonies for couples who want the legal side of marriage taken care of simply and professionally - especially when their cultural, religious or traditional ceremony is already the heart of their wedding.
Why I Created Riwaaz Ceremonies
The idea came from my own wedding experience.
Coming from a cultural background where we already have our own meaningful wedding traditions, I didn't feel that I needed another elaborate ceremony just to make my marriage legally recognised. I wanted it simple.
No unnecessary fuss.
No big performance.
Just someone who understands that our traditional wedding was our wedding, and who could quietly and professionally take care of the legal requirements.
And I realised other couples must feel the same way.
That is exactly why I created Riwaaz ceremonies.
Your Ceremony Doesn't Have to Be Bigger Than You Want It to Be
I'm not going to pressure you into personalised vows, long stories or wedding traditions that don't feel like you.
Instead, my approach is:
Warm. Calm. Simple. Respectful. Organised.
If you already have your own cultural or religious ceremony, I'll work around it.
If you simply want a private legal marriage, that is completely fine too.
